Classic Albums by Bad Company, Carly Simon Released on 24-Karat Gold CD
A pair of classic albums from the 1970s, Carly Simon's No Secrets and Bad Company's Straight Shooter, were reissued Tuesday on the 24-Karat Gold CD format by the Audio Fidelity label. The discs, which offer superior sound quality, will be available in numbered, limited-edition runs both online and via various retail outlets.
Originally released in 1972, the chart-topping No Secrets was Simon's third studio effort. It included the number-one smash "You're So Vain," featuring backing vocals by Mick Jagger, as well as the top-20 hit "The Right Thing to Do." Among the other guest artists who contributed to the album were Simon's future husband James Taylor, as well as Little Feat's Lowell George and Paul and Linda McCartney.
Straight Shooter, Bad Company's sophomore release, first hit stores in 1975 and peaked at number three on the Billboard albums chart. It included the bluesy supergroup's classic hit "Feel Like Makin' Love" and the fan favorite "Shooting Star."
