Last month we told you about a construction project that began right after the 4th of July in downtown Newport.
This week: groundbreaking for a $4 million state-of-the-art pavilion at one of Rhode Island's most popular beaches right at the height of beach season.
Jim Hummel asks if state officials considered any alternatives to the timing.
The Hummel Report is a non-profit 501(c) organization dedicated to exposing waste and corruption for the people of Rhode Island. Its investigative reports will combine with news and public information to offer multimedia news reports.
