John DePetro | Woodmansee to be transferred to Slater Hospital

Foreman family sources tell WPRO’s John DePetro that convicted killer Michael Woodmansee will be released from the ACI to Slater Hospital Mental Health Facility on Friday.

Prison officials plan to release the news Thursday morning, but DePetro says officials will not disclose exactly the time Woodmansee will be released due to security concerns.

Woodmansee was convicted of second-degree murder after admitting he killed 5-year-old Jason Foreman in South Kingstown and was sentenced to 40 years in prison. He is eligible for early release after almost 29 years in prison under Rhode Island’s Good-Time Law, which shaves time off the sentences of well-behaved inmates.

Woodmansee’s early release date was pushed back after he refused to participate in a prison count on Aug. 20.

Remembering Jason and Joice this morning, this entire Rhode Island circus show since March is sickening. In RI it's politically correct to murder and be forgiven, to earn Good Time and share in all the same rights honest law abiding citizens enjoy - it's the "letter of the law". It's too expensive to keep murders, rapits, child molesters and kidnappers in prison. So let them all out to repeat their crimes, our State Government DOESN'T CARE.

They'd better keep him there forever John.
