Governor Chafee appointed three new members to the Economic Development Corporation this week, and they all accepted. Obviously, theyve all been out of the country for the past three months.
The Governor also appointed a commission to oversee the City of Woonsockets finances. Bad news: Curt Schillings one of the commissioners.
General Treasurer Gina Raimondo threw out the first pitch at a PawSox game last week. It was a strike. Absolutely no truth to the rumor that Curt Schilling was her pitching coach.
Video gaming experts fear that the industry is dying. Heres some good news: Rhode Island was finally ahead of the curve on a national trend.
Theres a new app for your Smart Phone to help keep mosquitoes away with an ultrasonic beep. If all else fails, you can swat the skeeters with the phone.
Theres a new pill being tested that could help cure the urges experienced by shopaholics. Seems a little counter-productive. Targeting a single pill to curb the impulses of people who could easily be compelled to buy thousands of those pills.
