Christina Aguilera Steps out in Newport:  The, "Dirrty" singer and NBC's Voice coach was apparently strolling the Brick Marketplace on Sunday June 17th.  My on-site source told me that her entourage (which may or may not have included boyfriend Matt Rutler; a City by the Sea resident) blocked her from photo ops and meet & greet opportunities.  According to the Newport Buzz she was also spotted partying at The Landing on Saturday night.  This isn't the first time Aguilera has been spotted in the Ocean State.   She spent the 2010 holidays with Rutler in Newport.    Maybe there are, "Newport nuptials" in her future? Eagles flock to Providence:  The annual CVS Caremark Charity Classic attracts celebrities and athletes to the Ocean State.  The Rhode Island Convention Center played host to the golf tournament’s dinner where Eagles band members Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh dined on Monday.

Rapper/Actor DMX was spotted at an IHOP in Dartmouth, MA on Thursday. 

A homecoming for Miss USA Cranston is holding a homecoming for the newly crowned Miss USA at which she will be presented a key to the city.  Olivia Culpo, a Cranston native who represented Rhode Island in the pageant, will also have a tree planted in her honor.  The public is invited to attend the festivities which will include a special performance by the combined Cranston East / West Marching band and student performers from the BASICS program in Cranston. The program will run from 4p-6p.   The 20-year-old sophomore from Boston University was named Miss USA earlier this month.   Cranston Mayor Allan Fung has said the city is proud of Culpo for winning the title.  She will also participate in Bristol's famous Fourth of July parade.
