X Factor hits a Fever Pitch in Providence:  Some of music’s most influential, “voices” were in Providence this week for the follow-up audition round for Fox’s, “The X Factor” at the Dunkin Donuts Center.  Thousands gathered on Wednesday to welcome Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid to the, “Dunk” red carpet. Simon Cowell opted to take a different entrance.  On Tuesday night Britney Spears was seen dining at McCormick & Schmick’s.   On Wednesday morning music mogul L.A. Reid stopped by Cumulus Media (headquarters of WPRO) where he told me, “I love being in Providence.  I’ve never felt more welcomed and I’m not kidding… that’s not a sound bite; I’ve never felt more welcomed anywhere in America.  It’s really fun to be here.”(To the left: Bekah and Liz Burke interviewing L.A. Reid) 92 PRO FM personalities Barbi Jo Dimaria and Giovanni interviewed Reid in front of X-Factor cameras; which could end up on the premiere of X Factor on September 12^th. Simon Cowell tweeted, “In Providence, Talent off the chart…what’s in the water here?”  I’m told that all four judges are split staying between the Westin and The Biltmore. Regis, “livens” up Lincoln:  Comedian Don Rickles wasn’t the only funny man at the Twin River Events Center on June 23^rd.  Regis Philbin arrived unannounced and was welcomed with a standing ovation.  Philbin took photos with fans and was acknowledged by Rickles from the stage.  Coincidentally Philbin won a Daytime Emmy for, “Live with Regis & Kelly” that night.  Last Sunday Philbin was spotted dining at The Ocean House in Westerly.

The, “Sun” gets sexy…and they know it:  LMFAO - everyone’s favorite party rockers - made a special appearance at the opening celebration of Mohegan Sun’s GLO At The Pool on Thursday night. 

The “CBS Tour” Buzzes through the Ocean State:   CBS reality star Alex Boylan (“The Amazing Race”) and Burton Roberts (“Survivor:  Pearl Islands”) will bring the CBS star-branded and mobile studio-equipped “CBS Buzz Tour” bus to Cardi’s Furniture in West Warwick from 9am-2pm on Monday July 2^nd.
