"Jean Dujardin: Real Life Pepe Le Pew"
Whether you've seen him in the silent sensation, "The Artist" or just know him from his hardware happy awards season you've witnessed the charm of French actor Jean Dujardin. Recently winning the SAG award for leading actor over the favored George Clooney and signing with WME Dujardin has been accepted by American audiences and industry with open arms. Does anyone else agree though that he is the human version of Pepe Le Pew?

Reality television audiences know them as the tenacious tag-team from Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York City. Alex McCord and Simon Van Kempen joined me live in-studio on This Week in Entertainment recently on News Talk 630 WPRO & 99.7 FM. The fact that her daughter Scout goes to Brown might not be Demi Moore's only connection to Rhode Island. Weeks before the 49-year-old Moore was rushed to an LA hospital for exaustion and doing whip-its she was surrounded by people like Brody Jenner, Miley Cyrus and Johnston and Jersey Shore's own Pauly "Pauly D" DelVecchio at Hollywood hot spot Beacher's Madhouse. On the night of January 11th Moore was spotted, "table dancing while three guys sat there watching," an eyewitness tells US Weekly. "She was trashed." On January 15th older daughter Rumer was with her mom at Sean Penn's Cinema for Peace Event benefiting J/P Haitian Releif Organization in LA. "Demi ordered about a dozen Red Bulls that night," a source says. Moore--who is reportedly also being treated for substance abuse--is seeking treatment.

Paula Abdul has been, "caught" outside of Providence. As previously reported on 630wpro.com and Rhody Radar the X-Factor judge spent alot of time in the Ocean State with the Caprio family in spots like Garden City and the Providence Place Mall. Rumors began swirling that perhaps Abdul, 49 was dating Rhode Island businessman John Caprio, 40. Following these reports it was reported that Abdul had split from record label owner Jeff Bratton. Soon after Star Magazine and Perez Hilton caught a photo of Abdul and Caprio in Rhode Island which is creating more buzz around the rumored couple. A source reached out to Perez Hilton with the following info:
"Paula's sister, Wendy, lives near Providence, and Paula and John were introduced by mutual friends in late November and they really hit it off."
"She likes that he's a normal dude. She met his whole family, and they loved her. They're a big, loud family. But Paula fit right in."

Bachelor fans! Newton, Ma native Jaclyn Swartz joined me for an exclusive interview to chat about her making it to week 3 on The Bachelor. Her experience that began in September has given her a new lease on live in front of the camera and an open mind to doing reality television again. In my chat with Jaclyn she sets the web-rumor mill straight on her connection to Charlie Sheen, who she thinks Ben had the most chemistry with and is Courtney (the model) as two-faced as she seems? What was your initial reaction when you heard Ben F. was crowned as the new Bachelor?
I didn’t have any reaction. I was didn’t watch Ashley’s (Hebert) season because I’m more into the bachelor franchise than bachelorette; but I knew he looked good on paper.
Knowing what you know now and watching it back; who do you think he has the most chemistry with?
Kacie B. Right off the bat and maybe Lindzi though i'm not totally sold on that yet.
Is Courtney (the model) really as two-faced as she seems?
Yes. Absolutely. It's bizarre watching her behavior on tv.

"South Kingstown Native: A Star is Born on American Idol"
Erika Van Pelt, 25 of South Kingstown performed, "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" at the Pittsburgh auditions of American Idol. She wowed judges Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven "My Neck of the Woods" Tyler.

"Etta James, 'At Last' Singer Dies at 73 "

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Etta James' manager says the singer has died in California at age 73.
Lupe De Leon tells The Associated Press the blues singer died early Friday at a hospital.
De Leon says the cause of death is complications of leukemia.
James enduring hits include "At Last" and "Tell Mama." James released her final album just months ago.

"The Next Bachelorette is..."
So boys- the next time you see an ad to, "Date our next Bachelorette" during the current season's Bachelor on ABC you could/would be dating...
Emily Maynard! People reports that the blonde southern bell returns to the francise that introudced her to bachelor Brad Womack. In a tearful TV special America learned it didn't work out with Womack and Maynard which lead to heavy speculation that Maynard would become ABC's next Bachelorette. Emily was reluctant to appear on The Bachelorette because she didn't want time away from her young daughter Ricki. But, a source says, the show is moving production to their hometown, Charlotte, N.C., to accommodate, Maynard, 25.
And who's hoping to be one of Maynard's suitors?
Bentley Williams, one of the francise villains from the season featuring Ashley Hebert. He made it clear to cameras that he had hoped Maynard would be the one handing out roses and show sources say that he's interested in competing.

"Moonrise Kingdom trailer released"
You can now catch a peak at the star-studded Wes Anderson flick that was shot in locations like Fort Wetherill State Park, Lincoln Woods State Park, and Prudence Island among other locations throughout the Ocean State in the newly released trailer for, "Moonrise Kingdom." The flick has, "Indy darling" written all over it in signature Royal Tenenbaums meets Rushmore fashion. Take a look at the sneak peak at the movie below that includes famous faces like Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Bruce Willis, Tilda Swinton Frances McDormand and more. "Moonrise Kingdom" is set for a May 25th release.

Grammy said knock you out; LL Cool J is hosting the Grammys!
For the first time in 7 years the Grammys will have an emcee! The Grammy-winning rapper LL Cool J says the Feb. 12 broadcast is "gonna be a great night" and says his hosting duties are a dream come true.
The Recording Academy has already named some performers - the Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and Jason Aldean. While it will be LL Cool J's first time hosting the Grammys. He has hosted the live Grammy nominations concert since it began in 2008. The Grammys will be broadcast on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The rap legend is a star on the network's "NCIS: Los Angeles." The Recording Academy seems to have a thing for rappers-turned-actors. The last host of the Grammys was Queen Latifah.

NO- I’m not drawing a comparison between Pauly D and a gay-activist group. However that is the Jersey-Shore friendly abbreviation you would get if you add, "B" to Pauly D's routine. The Johnston native recently gave People the, "inside the ring" look at a hobby he's had since his baby blow-out days in Providence/Johnston! Take a look as he hands out a right hook and some Rhody love!

"Beware the shower: Psycho prequel comes to A&E"

And here i thought, "Intervention" and exposing Gene Simmons were A&E's crown, "jewels."
EW.com reports that A&E announced today that they are currently developing a scripted series called Bates Motel. The network is in script development for the series which according to a statement, “will give viewers an intimate understanding of how Norman Bates’ psyche developed from his childhood through his teen years. Fans will have access to the dark, twisted back story and learn first hand how his mother, Norma, and her lover damaged Norman, helping forge the most well-known serial killing motel owner in history.”
The network will also bring the popular, Those Who Kill based on the best selling books by Elsebeth Egholm. The series: about a police detective and a forensic psychiatrist who “both in very different ways possess a deep psychological understanding” which leads them to tracking down violent criminals. Executive producer Glen Morgan (The Commish) will also pen the script for the pilot.
Let me just say on the record: when i was 13 i saw Psycho for the first time and i couldnt sleep the entire summer i saw it.

"Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans: Arrested Again "

BOLIVIA, N.C. (AP) -Jenelle Evans, one of the stars from, "Teen Mom 2" is not having a promising start to the new year She has been charged with making harassing phone calls and communicating threats.
Brunswick County sheriff's Sgt. Del Routh said 20-year-old Jenelle Evans of Oak Island was released on $1,000 bond shortly after her arrest Tuesday. Evans did not have a listed telephone number, but attorney Dustin Sullivan says the charges are retribution after she accused a local man of cyberstalking.
Evans was charged with assault in March after a fight recorded on video. A month later, she received 12 months of probation and community service on a drug paraphernalia charge. Evans was charged with a probation violation in August after testing positive for marijuana and opiates.
What would her mom say?

Those of us who have invested our time into the Kardashian family- watching their countless shows and specials on E!, tuning in when they appear on talk shows etc. we have all thought the same thing at least once, "Khloe Kardashian looks different than her sisters." SHE herself has gone on record (one episode of KUWTK centered around this very topic) claiming that she was, "adopted" or maybe she has a different dad...Well according to Jan Ashley and Ellen Kardashian Khloe might have been on to something. The late Robert Kardashian's ex-wife and widow have come forward in a Star Magazine exclusive coming out Thursday claiming the late Kardashian expressed his doubts about the paternity of Khloe.
"Khloe is not his kid -- he told me that after we got married," Jan Ashley, 63, the woman who married Robert after Kris Jenner, revealed to Star."He just kind of looked at me and said [it] like it was a matter of fact. He said, 'Well, you know that Khloe's not really a Kardashian, don't you?' And I said…'OK,' and that was it. Ellen Kardashian, 63, married Robert in 2003 just two months before his death, after dating for nearly six years -- and she has also come forward after eight years of silence to "tell the truth" about the Kardashian family. Ellen Kardashian claims Robert told her that they weren't even sleeping together during the time Khloe was conceived.

Over this last week or so the Kardashian family has had several ties to New England. Last Wednesday Kris Humpries the scorned soon-to-be ex husband of Kim Kardashian was at the TD Garden in Boston where his New Jersey Nets faced off against the Celtics. Humpries, who was injured, was seen out of uniform on the New Jersey bench. On this last episode of E!'s Kourtney & Kim take New York the two older Kardashians decided to take a, "sisters weekend" and travel with Kourtney's son Mason to Mystic, Connecticut where they stayed at a charming B&B and visited the Mystic Aquarium. The night before that particular episode aired there were reports that Kim Kardashian was spotted at the Westin in Downtown Providence and dining at Centro Restaurant. My sources say that there was a Kardashian sighting on Saturday night indeed but it was Kim's younger sister (who is close to clone-like of the older Kardashian) Kendall Jenner (the 16-year-old daughter of Bruce and Kris Jenner.) Kendall was spotted with reality star Brooke Hogan and there were reports that a pre-order of champage was ordered for Kim Kardashian but sources from Centro say Kim was never actually spotted; Kendall was though. Sources concur that one explanation for the quick cameos was that a mutual manager or business associate (not Kris Jenner) of the Hogan and Kardashian-Jenner families was also in Providence over the weekend.

One R.I. producer was considering making a movie about the life of American exchange student Amanda Knox. Chad Verdi, President and CEO of Verdi Productions (VP), has withdrawn an offer of $1,000,000 for the rights to the film that his production company would have produced. The Seattle college student was jailed for four years in an Italian prison after being accused of murdering her roommate, Meredith Kercher. The charges were dropped last year and Knox was acquitted after years of international media attention surrounding the case. Verdi tells Fox Providence "After reviewing all the information we had involving the Knox case, I have decided it was not the inspirational feel good story that VP was looking for and we have withdrawn our offer." As i sat down to watch a lukewarm season premiere of Jersey Shore's 5th installment last night I noticed something very familiar about Snooki's BFF Ryder, whose real name is Caitlyn Ryder, and YES she has hopped on the, "bookings and appearances" train riding out the Jersey Shore wave that her cohorts have so greatly benefitted from. Ryder, who has quickly been compared to the village bicycle (you know where i'm going with that), has a striking resemblance to another famous twenty-something who is her polar opposite. Can someone else agree with me that Ryder and country crossover cutie Taylor Swift could be related?

"Paula Abdul: Caught in Providence"
Paula Abdul: “Caught in Providence.” Move over Pauly D. There’s a new celebrity to be seen with on the Rhode Island scene. The multi-talented TV personality Paula Abdul has been spotted in various locations all over Southern New England leaving local fans, “Spellbound.” So what makes everyone’s favorite talent competition judge such a fan of the ocean state? Sources and onlookers say it’s because she’s been in the company of another well-known judge’s family. The hype began when Abdul was seen cheering on her nephew Austin Mandel, a Brown University senior who plays for the schools’ soccer team. From there Abdul was spotted alongside members of Providence Municipal Court Judge Frank Caprio’s family.
Abdul, 49 made an appearance in neighboring Wareham, Mass at a Wines and More tasting with handsome store franchisee John Caprio, 40 earlier this week where she greeted fans with open arms; some reportedly brought to tears by her mere presence. From there Facebook and Twitter were buzzing with Abdul sightings in Sephora at the Providence Place Mall and at Cranston’s Garden City shopping center where she was spotted dining with former Rhode Island State Rep. David Caprio. She completed her tour of Garden City hitting up Newport Creamery for ice cream where, one staff member said, “We tried to play it cool; but customers were freaking out.” The, “Straight Up” singer has yet to disappoint local fans. “Paula doesn’t shake hands” says one source close to the Caprio family, “She gives hugs.” Is Paula straight up dating a Caprio?

"Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel: ENGAGED?!"
Did Britney Spears' ex feel the pressure to be engaged too? According to US Weekly the on-and-off couple got engaged just a week or so ago. JustinTimberlake popped the question (no- it didn't involve the you know what in the box!) to Biel late December on a mountain top in Jackson, Wyoming. According to the mag insiders close to the couple say "Justin knows how much she loves snowboarding and the mountains, so it was the perfect place." Us Weekly’s sources say that when they got back together after their three-month split last year, they made it clear that marriage was in their future. The source told the mag, "When they reunited, they had a conversation about taking the next step." There’s no official confirmation from either stars' camp...so there should be no, "crying a river" just yet!

Everyone's favorite Mob mama (sorry Mob Wives) Victoria Gotti, Teresa Guidace from the Real Housewives of New Jersey, and American Idol runner up Clay Aiken will be featured in the next installment of Celebrity Apprentice.
Does anyone else get the feeling that the, "celebrities" chosen for Celebrity Apprentice are the same people that would do Dancing with the Stars- if asked- only they couldn't wait on the paycheck?
This morning on the Today Show Apprentice creator and host Donald Trump decided that if he couldn't participate in the Iowa Caucuses he could certainly take away from some of the media coverage by announcing the cast who would be starring in the next edition of NBC's Celebrity Apprentice.
