Ron St. Pierre

Ron St. Pierre as been a Rhode Island broadcast fixture for over 30-years starting with a 36-hour marathon shift during the Blizzard of ’78.
Born and raised in Pawtucket, Ron survived the Sisters of Mercy and graduated St Leo he Great (not, however, without permanent ruler imprints) and is a 1973 Graduate of St. Raphael Academy. Ron has an Associates Degree in Communications from Graham Jr. College (which later became a Kenmore Square Pizzaria Uno) and also attended Rhode Island College before the bright lights of Woonsocket and WNRI lured him away.
Ron was a sports anchor at WPRI Ch 12 in the 80’s and 90’s and keeps his hand in TV as a host of RI PBS A LIVELY EXPERIMENT. Ron and Patti St. Pierre have been married 27-years (the first 26-being the most difficult) and currently live in East Greenwich with their 11-year old lumpy but adorable lab Rita.
Ron loves to cook, plays the accordion, is an avid movie fan, and a bit of a baseball historian (good enough to have him as a lifeline). He is also open to challenges regarding any Seinfeld and Dick Van Dyke episode and simply can’t be stumped when it comes to the actors and actresses who played Batman villains in the 60’s TV series. A handful of Ron’s best memories include watching the 2004 Word Series flag raised at Fenway Park, finishing two marathons, and drinking 6-steins of beer in one sitting at Octoberfest in Germany in 1988.
Hear Ron daily with Buddy Cianci, weekdays, 10-2pm on newstalk Radio 630 WPRO and 99.7 FM
