Scott Cordischi on Sports

Scott Cordischi graduated Pentucket Regional High Schoolin West Newbury, MA (1985) and then Syracuse University - Newhouse School of Public Communications (1989) with a degree in Television, Radio & Film Management.  His first job out of college was as Sports Director for WHAV in Haverhill, MA.

Scott worked as producer at WEEI (when it was 590 AM) and produced the popular "Sports Huddle" with Eddie Andleman, Mark Witkin and Jim McCarthy.  He also produced "The Sports Gals" for Sports Channel in early 90's and co-produced "Eddie Andleman's Real Football Show."

Cordischi arrived at WPRO in February of 1994 as the producer of "The Sportsbeat" Monday-Friday from 5-8pm with John Rooke.  While producing the show, he did the sports flashes, and hosted when John did PC games, Pawsox games and was on vacation.

In October of 1997, "The Sportsbeat" and Scott moved to the former 790 The Score for a Monday-Friday 3-7pm time slot.

Scott has won AP awards while on both WPRO and WSKO for "Best Sportscast" and "Best Sports Show" in southern New England.  He has been the voice of Brown football for 11 years and for Brown men's basketball for 8 years while doing Play-by-play broadcasting for Cox Sports Channel 3 for last 3 years handling various college and high school sporting events. Also host a monthly golf show called "Local Links."
